The Himalayas are justly renown for bird's watchers and photographers. There are many varieties of Himalayan birds to enjoy around the villages and fields, among which appear: Yellow-bellied Fantail-flycatcher, White-browed Fantail-flycatcher, Chesnut-bellied Rock Thrush, Blue Whistling Thrush, Ultramarine Flycatcher, Rufous-bellied Niltava, Blue-fronted Redstart, White-caped water Redstart, Plumbeous Water Redstart, Grey Bushchat (Male), Dark Grey Bushchat (Female), Variable Wheatear (Pied Chat), Chestnut-tailed Starling, Goldcrest, Oriental White-eye, Streaked Laughing Thrush, Hume's Short-toed Lark, Yellow-breasted Greenfinch (Himalayan Greenfinch), Common Rosefinch, White-browed Rosefinch, Rock Bunting, Himalayan vultures, Eagles and many others. For some birds, watchers and photographers may need to venture up into the mountains and forests on day trek Day treks can include higher places like Himurcha, Raata, Kyarkoti, and around Harsil to discover Pheasant (Monal) and many other high Himalayan birds. Many of the day treks previously mentioned can also serve bird watchers and photographers. Other areas can be suggested by us to encounter yet other birds and wild life. We can also arrange night stays for an overnight trek with camping if needed for any of these.
